My Research

I am an applied mathematician interested in studying complex physical and biological systems. I’m currently a PhD student at George Mason University, supervised by Benjamin Schweinhart.

My research is focused on developing computational methods to detect morphological changes of cellular structures. More specifically, I’m interested in applications of computational geometry for large scale image analysis. Specific applications of my work include analysis of tumor microanatomies, grain boundary networks of material microstructures, and endoplasmic reticulum networks of COS7 cells. When I’m not working on my research, I’m usually working on a creative side project (usually one of several). At the moment this includes cooking, painting, and film photography.
